We have a bold vision and a plan to make it happen. We just need people to do it with us.
Will you work with us to make an eco-just food system a reality? Check out our projects and the roles for which we need people.
Active Projects
Here are a list of the projects that the Eco-Just Food Network is actively working on. These projects can be considered different aspects or areas of operations: they all feed into the same initiative and are all strategically important.
- Food Corps: help us coordinate farm work trips, make connections with farmers and food providers, and expand our program.
- Time Bank: the alternative social economy through which the food network coordinates its activities and rewards productive labour.
- Education: we support life-long learning and are building a curriculum around food sovereignty, regenerative agriculture, and practices that will steer us towards a healthier planet.
- Grants and Fundraising: as a grassroots organization, the food network relies on the monetary donations of our supporters for our operational funding. And, as a grassroots organization, we are extremely bad at asking for money!
- Social Media: create content and generate engagement on our social media platforms to expand the network and gain more supporters.
- Resource Management: is ensuring that the food network has the equipment, materials and supplies it needs to carry on the initiative. This project is specifically geared around non-monetary and non-financial resources.
- Health & Disaster Preparedness: This project will research and inform the practices of the EJFN with regards to best practices for pandemic protocols and biosecurity measures.
